Core Memory of Our Trip We had an incredible day spent with Pedro! He went above and beyond to show us an authentic experience in Sintra. My husband and I talked about how it would have been such a different experience to go through popular spots on our own. He gave us history, stories, context and even took pictures all along the way to give us. I would recommend this company (and Pedro) to anyone. Perfect day in Sintra with Pedro The full day Sintra tour experience was excellent from start to end. The communication from the team was always quick and informative. The highlight of the trip was our tour guide, Pedro. He was very knowledgeable, and knew the best routes to take in busy touristy areas. Perfect Sintra Experience with Pedro The entire trip was incredible from start to end. It was incredibly easy to book and the communication was always quick and informative. Pedro was our tour guide and he was incredible. He had a lot of information on everything related to Sintra, the monuments, and the history of the places we were visiting. My favorite day in Portugal! We met Pedro Lopes, our guide, at a coffee shop in Sintra, since we took the train from Lisbon. From our first meeting, where he gave us blankets in the tuk tuk (it was pouring rain when we started, but cleared up), to local pastry stop, until he dropped us off in Cascais, everything was great! He even had umbrellas for us! We opted for Quinta de Reguleira, wine tasting, and Cascais and we got to see most all of Sintra for photos and lots of history and stories. Pedro is very knowledgeable and also knows the best photo places, even if the sights we didn’t enter. The initiation well, the caves, and residence were amazing! The old town area was beautiful. Our lunch stop was a local, family-owned restaurant with amazing service and food. Everything we had was perfect! We drove to a super old winery in Colares and had a wine tasting after learning a bit of the history. We drove out to Cabo de Roca, then through a forested road to Cascais. A 10 out of 5!!! Is it possible to rate Daniel Ponce and spending the day with him a 10 out of 5??? After ALL his amazing reviews I looked no further. His energy, LOVE of his job and the land, and fun fact of every sight, history and even trees(!!) was infectious. Sintra FAR exceeded our expectations. What an incredible place— so much to see. The ONLY way to get it all in is with Daniel. We will definitely come back for round 2 and in the meantime, will spread the word about Daniel and company back in the states. Daniel was so fun...and thorough! Daniel was so great to work with. We wanted to cover only places in Sintra, without any side trip to the beach, and that was fine. So we got in three monuments. He reassured me that the order he planned (which was different from what we would have done on our own) was the right way to do it. We had been reluctant to use a guide, but we are so glad we changed our mind, and at the almost last minute. We saw things we would have never noticed (but he pointed out). We saw more places than we could have seen on our own. And this was all with his wonderful sense of humor and lightness. Our authentic Portugese lunch was great (even accommodating a vegetarian), and he took the proper time at each stop - Quinta da Regalaria, Monseratte Palace, and Pena Palace. He took us to the best pastry shop for Travesserios. And he even followed up with us after the trip about a special event he knew we were going to. Amazing Day with Daniel - Yes you Deserve - Sintra Tours My daughter and I chose the full‑day tuk tuk tour with Daniel, and honestly, it became one of the highlights of our entire trip. We took a Bolt to the meeting point café in Sintra and met Daniel right on time — and from that moment, the day just flowed in the best possible way. We took the tour in January and although winter it had no impact on our day - just less people. What stood out immediately was how easy it was to be around Daniel. He didn’t feel like a guide ticking off stops; he felt like someone who genuinely wanted to share the places he loves. He told us stories, history, little details you’d never find in a book, and he did it all so naturally that we found ourselves learning without even realising it. We wandered through Quinta da Regaleira, walked down the Initiation Well, explored hidden corners, and soaked in views that didn’t feel real. Later in the day, standing at Boca do Inferno as the sun started to set was one of those moments where you just stop and take it all in — the colours, the sound of the waves, the feeling of being somewhere truly special. Our tour ended in Cascais. We strolled and had dinner. It was the perfect, gentle ending to a full and beautiful day. After dinner we caught a Bolt back to Lisbon, tired in the best way. This wasn’t just a tour for us. It was a day filled with connection, laughter, learning, and moments we’ll talk about for years. If you’re thinking about booking with Daniel, do it. An Unforgettable All-Inclusive Tour of Sintra & Cascais This tour was the highlight of our entire trip to Portugal. We chose the all-inclusive experience and are so glad we did. Daniel and his team made everything seamless—coordinating our pickup, tickets, meals, and transportation throughout the day, and answering every question we had. A private car picked us up from our hotel and dropped us at a café for breakfast before the tour began. Pedro arrived in his tuk-tuk and gave us an incredible, in-depth tour of the area. He acted as driver, guide, translator, and even photographer. He went out of his way to capture amazing photos of us at the best viewpoints and major sites. His knowledge of the history and local stories went far beyond anything you’d get from a guidebook or museum plaque. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in Colares before continuing on. One of the unexpected highlights was winding through the peaceful forest and then cruising along the coast at sunset on our way to Cascais. At the end of the tour, Pedro recommended a wonderful spot for dinner, and afterward our driver picked us up and brought us straight back to our hotel. Sintra & the surrounding areas at their best!! We did an all day private & custom Tuktuk tours in Sintra & in the areas around Sintra. Pick up/drop off from Lisbon Hotel was perfect. We went at our own pace and were listened to when input was solicited. We visited hidden gems that locals enjoyed, not large buses of tourists. Ot was really a perfect day!
